I am happy with my purchase, but not pleased with the delivey CEVA. It was suppossed to be delivered on the 14th, then the 20th, then it came the 27th. I had to call them to set the time or who knows when it would have been delivered. The TV worked great the first night, and the next day when I unplugged it to put it on the stand the power would not come back on. I tried everything… unhooking all the cables, I called Samsung, they couldn’t help because there was no power. I let it sit all afternoon and with a prayer I tried one more time and plugged it in and it worked!!! The picture is great and I had also purchased the mediabridge cables from Amazon, and everything was simple to set up. The owners manual suggests to leave the picture size setting on 16:9 which is confusing because the some shows are full screen and others have the black bar on each side. That is why I gave it a four star rating. It is such a new model I was worried of getting a lemon. I had read the other 2 reviews. One good and one had trouble with the sound. This is a good, economical TV that I have purchased for use in a bedroom. It has good color and performance, but like all LCD’s, it cannot match my Plasma displays for image quality. It does a fair job on SD content and the HD video playback is excellent for sharpness. Using it with a Samsung DVD player (and I assume any other Samsung HDMI-connected device) is nice because of the Anynet+ functionality that changes the source as soon as you hit Play. This is good because the remote is not good to use when changing sources. It is a Source button that brings up a menu instead of cycling through the options each time you hit it. So, because I am normally using this with a Tivo, I have to use the TV remote to switch back to the Tivo instead of using the TV Source button on the Tivo remote. The worst part of this is that the d-pad on the remote is completely flush with the Enter button in the middle so you cannot use it w/o looking at it.
All things considered, if you need a small, inexpensive TV this is a good choice. Setup was easy and I am willing to make the picture sacrifices in order to go to a smaller, cheaper TV in a bedroom.

Ours has worked very well. Very sharp picture for a 60 Hz model, dark blacks, well-saturated colors, and it’s quite light and thin for a regular LCD. The built-in speakers aren’t great but we pipe the audio to external speakers anyway so this isn’t much of a concern. We got the 37″ because it’s the largest size that would fit in our space, and have been happy with the choice.
Setup was easy. My only quibble with the interface is that there is no way AFAICT to switch to a given video input source reliably with a fixed sequence of buttons, due to the dynamic source selection in the menu. This is an annoyance because we use a universal remote for all the devices in our system and I’d like to be able to program a single-button function into that remote for e.g. “switch to video source HDMI2″.

I’ve never purchased anything online that cost so much, but my son encouraged me to do so. It was a great experience. The TV was delivered on time, in perfect condition, and I would highly recommend buying through Amazon at least with this vendor/partner. I saved $200 by doing so and am very happy!

I just got this 42″ LCD and loving it. For the price and the convenience of getting it delivered at your door is incomparable. Quality of picture is very crisp and clear comparing to other top brands.
